1. Introduction

RedGem is an operations platform for e-commerce teams and professionals. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information we may collect, how that information may be used, and the choices available to you. It applies to visitors of our public website and to users of the RedGem platform.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Policy covers information handled through our public website at getredgem.com and through the RedGem platform. It does not govern the practices of third-party services you choose to connect to RedGem, such as Shopify or Meta, which remain subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

RedGem is currently under development. Some features described in this Policy may not yet be generally available, and the categories of information we process will depend on the integrations and features you choose to use.

3. Information We May Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with RedGem — for example, whether you are simply browsing our website, creating an account, or connecting an integration. The sections below describe the general categories of information that may be involved.

4. Information Provided Directly

This may include account information such as your name, email address, and password; organization or store details you provide when setting up RedGem; and information included in support requests or other communications with us.

5. Information From Connected Services

Depending on the integrations and features you choose to use, RedGem may receive information from third-party services you authorize us to connect to, such as:

  • Shopify operational, order, and customer information relevant to your connected store;
  • Meta Ads account and campaign information;
  • business email or mailbox information, where you explicitly authorize a mailbox connection; and
  • other operational or financial information made available through a connection you authorize.

We only receive the information that a given integration and your authorization permit. Connecting an integration is optional, and the information available to RedGem will vary depending on which integrations you enable and the permissions you grant.

6. Information Generated Through Use of RedGem

As you use RedGem, we may generate or record information such as integration metadata, synchronization and job status, operational logs, and usage and technical information (for example, general device or browser information and activity within the platform).

7. How We Use Information

We may use the information described above to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the RedGem platform;
  • display and organize the operational and business information you have authorized RedGem to access;
  • maintain organization, store, and user structures and enforce role-based access;
  • communicate with you about your account, support requests, or changes to RedGem;
  • monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and security of the platform; and
  • meet legal, security, and operational obligations.

8. Connected Third-Party Services

RedGem is designed to work with third-party services that you choose to connect, such as Shopify and Meta Ads. Those services are operated independently of RedGem and remain subject to their own terms of service and privacy practices. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party service before connecting it to RedGem.

9. Service Providers

We may engage third-party service providers to help us operate RedGem, such as hosting and infrastructure providers, email and service-communication providers, and security and monitoring providers. These providers may process information on our behalf and only as needed to support the RedGem platform.

10. How Information May Be Shared

We do not sell your information. We may share information:

  • with service providers, as described above;
  • within your organization, in accordance with the roles and permissions configured in RedGem;
  • to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of RedGem, our users, or others; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide RedGem and for legitimate business purposes. How long specific information is retained may depend on factors such as service requirements, your account status, applicable legal obligations, security requirements, and operational needs.

12. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by RedGem, including access controls and encryption of sensitive third-party credentials and tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Processing

Information handled by RedGem may be processed in countries other than the one in which you or your organization are located. Where this occurs, we aim to apply appropriate safeguards consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

14. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you are located, applicable law may provide you with certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Not every right described here is available to every user, and availability depends on your jurisdiction and circumstances.

To exercise a privacy right or ask a question about your information, contact us at privacy@getredgem.com.

15. Account, Integration, and Data Requests

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain account and organization information by contacting us. You may also disconnect a connected integration at any time through RedGem, which limits our ongoing access to that service going forward.

16. Children

RedGem is intended for business and professional use by adults. It is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as RedGem develops and adds new features or integrations. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we make changes, and material changes may be communicated through the platform or by email.
